BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

SCI is looking for a motivated self-starter to join us as a full-time Business and Development Coordinator. The Coordinator will be responsible for developing eligible referrals by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with qualified referral sources, providing education about SCI, and ensuring outstanding customer service. This position also assists the VP of Development in planning and organizing all ongoing and special project funding programs for the organization. Must be able to work independently and must have strong organizational skills. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field. Two years of health care medical sales or homecare referral is highly preferred. One to two years of proven leadership experience, organizing special events, and/or leading volunteers required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required for this position. Experience with donor management software is highly preferred.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

SCI is looking for a kitchen assistant to join our Adult Day Health team. The kitchen assistant will assist in the operation of the Adult Day Health Center by performing minor kitchen duties and cleaning duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work a few hours each weekday. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience as a custodian or cook is preferred. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain food and refrigerator temperature logs
• Sweep, vacuum, and take out trash and recycling
• Assist with plating and serving lunch
• Wash kitchen dishes, mop kitchen floor, and wipe down kitchen
• Unload food supplies and check for expired items
• Pick up waste, wipe down tables, and straighten up common area after each meal or activity
• Assist with picking up and organizing activity supplies; organize closets and put away activity supplies
• Prepare assorted kitchen items for next meal, snack, or next day
• Periodically clean refrigerator
• Lightly clean restrooms

COOK

Work in a fast-paced, high-volume, state-of-the-art commercial kitchen. Commercial cook/assistant cook experience is highly preferred. Candidate is expected to have upper body strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular endurance to perform very heavy work. Work includes preparing food, packaging meals, washing and sanitizing utensils and kitchen surfaces, stocking kitchen, etc. Additional duties may be assigned depending on need. Shift begins at 5am and ends around 12pm.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

Frequent openings for PRN Certified Nursing Assistants or PCAs with two or more years of experience for In-Home services. CPR - First Aid certification required. Hours can vary depending on client needs. Most assignments are during the day and occasional weekends. Experience with seniors is desirable.

SENIOR COMPANIONS

SCI’s Senior Companion Program is looking for active seniors who want to help older adults by visiting with them, helping with minor chores, sharing a meal, and other activities. Companions may also help people with Alzheimer’s participate in activities at an Adult Day Health Center or provide comfort to someone in hospice care. Companions are paid $2.65 per hour, tax-free, and usually work 15-30 hours per week.

Must be 55 or older, physically active and able to handle the responsibilities of being a Companion

Income not to exceed 200% of federal poverty guidelines
